Geraldine Thomas, 93, of Uttley Road, Saltillo, died Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the Fulton County Clinical Center — Lengthy Term Treatment Device, McConnellsburg.
Born March 24, 1928, in Saltillo, she was the daughter of the late Vincent G. and Viola (Hooper) Senft. She was united in marriage to Ned W. Thomas June 25, 1947. Mr. Thomas preceded her in demise Dec. 13, 1984.
Mrs. Thomas constantly resided on Uttley Avenue, being born and lifted at one particular finish of the road to remaining married and boosting a relatives on the other stop of the avenue.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Varner and Kay Stake and spouse Donald, all of Saltillo four granddaughters, Amy Varner, Jill Varner, Danielle Stake Morgan and husband Sean and Jennifer Stake Baker and partner Daryl and 4 great-grandsons Cameron Morgan, Andrew Baker, Levi Morgan and Ethan Baker.
4 siblings Eugene Senft, Betty Lane, Frances Sterret and Kenton Senft preceded her in dying.
She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Saltillo, Saltillo, where by she was a deaconess, trustee, belonged to the women’s mission team, Helping Fingers Society and was a prayer lover with Hazel Hershey.
She served as president of the Shirley Home Auxiliary, organized the Woman Scouts of Saltillo, put in time volunteering as a seamstress at the former Woodland Retirement Middle (now Embassy of Woodland Park), was a member of the Marry & Be a part of Us Club, invested 20 a long time in the RSVP Club of Huntingdon County and was a member of the Three Springs Volunteer Fire Co.
