An FBI agent at the middle of the investigation into the plot to kidnap and eliminate Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is accused of smashing his wife’s head against a nightstand and choking her after a dispute stemming from their attendance at a swingers’ party, according to courtroom documents.

Unique Agent Richard Trask, 39, of Kalamazoo, was billed Monday with assault with intent to do fantastic bodily hurt, considerably less than murder following the alleged incident Sunday.

An affidavit submitted by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office environment in Kalamazoo County District Courtroom claimed Trask’s wife experienced bloody lacerations to the proper aspect of her head and “blood all in excess of chest, clothes arms and hand,” as properly as “serious” bruising to her neck and throat.

She advised law enforcement she and her partner experienced various drinks at a swingers’ party held at a lodge in the 2700 block of S. 11 Street in Oshtemo Township, just west of Kalamazoo, according to the affidavit. She added that she did not like the party and they argued about it on the way household. 

When they arrived dwelling, Trask received on top rated of her in their bed and “then grabbed the facet of her head and smashed it numerous periods on the nightstand,” according to the affidavit.

She attempted to get his beard to totally free herself, and he started to choke her close to the neck and throat with each palms, according to the affidavit. She finally grabbed Trask’s testicles, which finished the altercation, the document notes, and Trask left the Oshtemo Township property in her auto.
